I decided to create a website because it's 2025, almost 2026, and everyone is making videos on Youtube and TikTok, but cameras aren't my thing and going against whatever people like to do seems fine. Nor do I want to enter those platforms, even casually, as it turns you into a kind of hostage of that ecosystem, of numbers and algorithms. So for now we return to the 2000s, and we write when nobody reads on a website type that Google practically never indexes.

A green landscape with a person reading.
Figure 1. Something like this, wondering what I got myself into.

What's happening in the world during this first post? A lot, really. In a follow-up text I'll describe the process of setting up a website like this, using Static Site Generators (which seems to be the new trend), deploying it on some hosting service, each one more confusing than the last, and how to jump on the AI bandwagon or at least pretend to.

There are a lot of things happening in the world too, like NVIDIA which seems to have no ceiling, while others say that the AI topic, at least from a financial perspective, will crash, despite being what dominates tech conversation to date.

A lot has happened since the 2000s, even though we still read about technology on Hackernews, social networks are something else, China is involved in everything, there's no news from Europe, things happen in the US and Latin America, well, it keeps going in circles. And yet, everything changes so fast.
